Gandalf it was that last spoke to Faramir ere he rode east. "Do not throw your life away rashly or in bitterness," he said. "You will be needed here, for other things than war. Your father loves you, Faramir, and will remember it ere the end. Farewell!"
J.R.R. Tolkien - The Lord of the Rings: Return of the King - Chapter IV: The Siege of Gondor ---------------------------------------------------------------- Such a short fragment but with so much meaning. Actually, it's another thing that Faramir and Eowyn have in common - they were both looking for death on the battlefield. But well, it has nothing to do with this picture>_> Drawing Gandalf was really fun, even if this doesn't mean anything new in his case - Gandalf is just...Gandalf. But drawing Faramir's hair was pain in the neck (I drew every single hair with pen). Actually I could add some shadows here and there too... And the perspective of the background looks a bit funny... As of September 2009 =ImaginaryRosse joined the project and will be helping us out with the weekly choices. While things have changed over time, the essence of the newsletter is still the same. As of recent, the talented =Behana has joined us in bringing you this weekly newsletter and we are excited to have her on board.
