Years ago I have been drawing portraits as commissions and still I think I like to do it, because human face is the most interesting thing to draw (for me at least). However, this started absolutely randomly - I was sitting with pencil and paper in my hands and looking for ideas for the picture, I promised Ashia-chan. I have found another idea finally, but the sketch was already quite good and I thought, why not give it a try? Lately I was thinking about trying to draw a portrait digitally, and prove myself, that I still can do portraits at all
I know, the hair could be better, but it was horrible to draw since it is such a mess, lol. I wanted simply to get rid of the picture at last, after 3 days. Gosh, I seriously need a break. Edit: I have fixed the hair a bit, I guess, I can't do much more with it, so it's the very final version. Done in Painter 8 (Acrylics) Step by step^^: [link] |

the way you did the little swirlies in the background is so pretty!
well, great job for your first digitally painted portrait! it turned out wonderful... and Mr. Christensen is really cool, even though his eyes were freaking me out all through star wars III.... >>
(I still think they're scary...)

The swirls were totally random, to be honest, just like: let's see what could we do with the bg...
I thought, it would take much longer, but somehow it wasn't. Maybe because I'm not patient at all, and had enough of this picture
Lol, yeh those eyes... I agree, they were scary, thay still are even when you look at photos taken during the making of the movie, with the blue screen behind...
