Two Kinds of People: Those who do not watch the stars, for fear something may be watching them. Then there are those who do gaze ahead, for the same reason of those who don't.
I also think that Snape would not necessarily see himself with Lily, but just Lily. I think that, after she died, the only thing he really wanted was her back. Not be with her, he's not that selfish. Just Lily, alive and smiling.
