For some odd reasons exams time is for me always the most productive artistically. So, between one exam and another, before I start working on the next tutorial, I figured out that something like DollHouse still exists and my own characters are slowly starting to feel offended by the lack of interest from their creator. I just wanted to doodle something quick, but you know how it works - once you start you can't stop till you have full coloured, finished picture.

This time not Iv, but Alex - working, starring at...things, thinking about something and stuff... Just whatever you want, there's no hidden message behind it.

Started with a pencil sketch, coloured in PainterX, texture added in PCS2, no reference used (just influenced by "House M.D." in case of shirts and ties - believe me, many times I just caught myself starring like hypnotised at Chase's shirt and tie instead of following the plot; call me a fashion freak

).

EDIT: And again I'm in a mood for changes. I wanted it to look even more like an old painting (so the cigarette had to disappear). Hope you'll like this new version (:

This is so lifelike and expressive! I feel like I can see him breathing, and blinking, and furrowing his brow in reflective concentration. XD The most striking aspect of your work is how the characters seem to have a soul shining within their eyes.

I just love Alex's eyes alone: they hold so much emotion. It's rare to see eyes drawn/painted so beautifully. ^^ And I still love the notes and papers in the background.
