Hi guys, if you were wondering, yes, I'm still alive and actually doing some drawing from time to time (most of it you can find on tumblr, because a lot is just work in progress). I just wanted to thank to all the people who messaged me about the person who copied part of my drawing (which is in fact copyrighted by a bookstore company). Looks like the account has been deactivated. Thank you for your eyes open and quick reaction:*

I just realised, it's been over a year since my last journal. Because the last year was horrible for me when it comes to art. I hope, this to happen never again. And I still owe some people some things...
So, I just wanted to thank you very much for your support during this hard time and this year as well :hug: It's sometimes hard to find enough time for everything when you have a regular 8-hours-a-day-job, friends and lots of hobbies. But I'll try to make it better this year :)

On the final note - because people ask me about commissions here and there and it's sometimes hard to find a compromise between what you wish to get and what I'm able to do, I decided to make it simple and clear. I will do commissions, but only in two formats and one technique, to avoid it being hard for you to decide and for me to manage time and be able to do the deal:

1. Portrait (colour) - 30 Euro
2. Half-body (colour) - 45 Euro

Technique - pencil plus digital colour.

I just wanted to let you know, that I found a nice person, who agreed to buy the books for me (well, she actually already did it), so the request is kind of closed:> But I want to thank you all for the response and offers to help out :hug:

Because my English studies are going to end this year (well, technically it will be next year), I have to write my thesis. And because I'm that crazy I got the idea to write it about the different mythological influences (most American folklore) in "Supernatural" (my literature tutor finds it a good idea - she's willing to accept everything that's not a thousand-and-first analyse of Shakespeare or Jane Austin:> ). But in order to write it I will need these two books:

The problem is, without a credit card I can buy as good as nothing...

So, the deal is, I would be very happy to draw/paint a commission for the kind person, who would accept to buy me the books in return (a commission of the same value as the books plus shipping costs of course, because they're a killer).

No, I'm not dead as you can see, just a bit uninspired. That's why I thought of opening commissions again. I need new and fresh inspiration. So, if you need a character portrait or anything else, we can make a deal and profit from it both;)

If you were wondering what happened to me - here I am to tell you that I'm still alive. I just have a new job since a month now and it was consuming all my time and energy because I'm doing something totally new to me. But I hope to get used to a 8-hour working day and find some time to post on DA and draw my own stuff.

I think of making a calendar again, but I'm not sure whether you wish to have another DollHouse one or something more general? I also have a technical problem since most of my pictures use rather the ' portrait' format than the 'landscape' one, and there is only the 'landscape' format for the calendars on DA. Should I crop my pictures then to fit them into the pages or leave the original format but also have this huge blank space on both sides? Any ideas?

And would you mind if I use some of the pictures I used last year? (many of them have been repainted since then).

Because I have lots of time right now and because people ask about it now and then, and because I would love to draw something different than my own characters or book illustrations, I guess, I can give it another try. So, if you want me to do a commission for you, just let me know. I can open 4 slots right now, because I don't want to promise something, I can't do.

What I would prefer to do for a good start would be character or people portraits - sketchy or polished, just depends on your budget:). But if you wish to have something else, ask me and we will know, I'm open to new and interesting ideas:)

Yup, as it says - some of you asked for some prints, so here you go, the list of all my prints available right now. If you still wish some, just let me know. And thank you for your interest until then, I really appreciate it when someone wants to have something from me printed out and maybe even hanged on their wall :).

I saw "Watching the Detectives" (with Cillian Murphy and Lucy Liu) with my friends yesterday and we laughed our asses off. It's weird, very specific, but damn funny and quite fresh as an idea. Honestly, I start to loose my faith in film reviews and people who write them... Or maybe they just lost their sense of humour?

The first season of "House M.D." will be released in Poland next month on DVD! About freaking time, I would say. Now I know what to spent the money (I still don't have) on;p.

My master copy (well, almost) of Gainsborough ( [link] ) will be featured in  Exotique 4. Now I am just asking myself why the heck is the art book meant to show 'WORLD'S MOST BEAUTIFUL CG CHARACTERS'? Hmmm, in context of my submission (which is partially a self-portrait) it sounds a bit on the funny side. Or philosophical. Depends how you see it;p.

Haha, you see, awful weather and boredom can make me write random stuff as well, hope you don't mind:)

I've noticed that since three months I've been providing you only with my favorite pieces of art in my journals. While other people use them to rant, boast, whine and play the drama, I post a couple of pretty pictures for you (I'm sorry to people being featured here - it's just sarcasm, don't mind it!). Just how boring is that?;p None the less, I hope that you still want to see them (let's just make a deal - you tell me when you're bored to death, OK?;p).

On another note, I just saw The Dark Knight last week and must admit, the film is just as fantastic as the reviews say. And I was a bit afraid that it might end up in disaster, now I can be honestly happy with the result (even Scarecrow got his five minutes, yay!).  
And I might be not very original when I say: THE JOKER! - absolutely mad, scary, awesome and fascinating. Call it a blasphemy, but to me Jack Nicholson got owned (however, Butron's stylistics is totally different from Nolan's, that's a fact). And it isn't the already formed Ledger - legend which speaks through me, it's simply... there, on the screen. Sadly, I can't even imagine the next Batman without him...

Oh well... and I wanted to close this with something more cheerful...

Speaking of which (the films) I thought, I'm not really able to get obsessed over a TV series any more. But now I have to admit - currently I'm totally House - obsessed XD. Not like I'm a big fan of those hospital series, but Hugh Laurie as Gregory House just has it. I mean, he's such a perfectly brilliant son of a b... XD. Just as much as Dr. Chase is pretty (damn, I could even fall ill for him XD). I know, I will miss the old team in the fourth season...
I know, I know, I'm four years too late XP

So, just move on to the pretty art, shall we?:D

I am sorry to all of you who actually care for my work and the quality you see it in. Because half of my gallery can be found on the damn photobucket (thank you =Lily-Hbp ) and since they offer print service to everyone, I feel forced to put the ugly DA watermark on my pictures. It makes me really sad, because I know it doesn't allow to fully enjoy the art and sometimes makes it ugly. But I also don't want to have my pictures printed in bad quality and sold without my permission. I know it won't stop people from posting images: [link]

but maybe at least it could stop people from printing them.

Many, many pictures today, because I have been too busy lately to make a proper update. I have been working on three Harry Potter pictures for the book store company EMPIK (as some of you may know already) and now I'm doing another tutorial for the Painter Magazine (a very time consuming one this time, but I hope it will look great:))

DollHouse?

Because many people have asked me about DollHouse recently, I have decided to create something like a résumé of the story. Actually it's still in pieces and you can't read it anywhere, it's not published online and won't be finished anytime soon, I'm afraid. So, if you're interested in the story and characters you can only follow them by watching the "+" marked pictures and reading the descriptions underneath.

DollHouse is a fictional, original story (in the genre of magical realism, I suppose), I have created a few years ago. It's a  bunch of short stories which supposed to build a novel. All the people and events of DH are linked by the main characters of Iv and Alexander Rittenberg who live in an old house in the contemporary Lodz (at last for the most part) and are running a tea-house, called DollHouse (well, actually Alex' sister Margaret does it most of the time). Iv is also designing costumes for theatres and Alexander is teaching chemistry at the university. Another linking character is Judyta - a wanna-be writer who becomes friends with the Rittenbergs and the rest of their weird and mysterious family. There are obviously many other characters, but I don't want to reveal the rest of the project too soon:D


I'm also very grateful to everyone who shows interest in DH - I'm really happy that you enjoy my illustrations and characters even if I still don't tell you much about them (and should present the rest of the cast to you). I really appreciate it, thank you very much):
